Balke & Associates
Aida and Kelley Rivera, mother and daughter team of Balke & Associates transformed a children’s room in Cabo, Mexico into a dream room. The vintage pink ottoman silk throw from Tessera was split and used on two twin beds. Additionally each bed is accented with a vintage silk lumbar pillow. The guest room features a neutral vintage suzani from Uzbekistan.
Kent Shaw
Designer Kent Shaw of Clossons, was featured in the March/April 2007 issue of Sophisticated Living magazine. The desire to make the sitting room more comfortable led the homeowner of a Hyde Park apartment to partner with interior designer Shaw. The homeowner appreciated Shaw’s attention to subtle details and enlisted his help to unite disparate design elements in the remainder of the apartment. A chenille sectional is outfitted with an assortment of colorful pillows - a hallmark of Shaw’s influence. Several of the pillows were crafted from an antique tapestry from Uzbekistan. Faint guidelines reveal the hand of the weaver. This subtle detail imparts a great deal of meaning to an otherwise utilitarian decorative element.
Kim Proler
This design was a collaboration by Kim Proler (Kimberly Proler Interiors) and Janet Gust (Janet Gust Design Group). It highlights a modern use of Tessera’s antique marble sink in a traditional powder room.
Michelle Barron
Known for her high end bed design, Michelle utilized Tessera’s red vintage suzani and suzani pillows to create this exquisite bed. These suzanis make a stunning statement on an all white bed.
