As Spain colonized the New World they utilized the skilled native artisans for the production of furniture in Peru. Their works followed the styles previously established in Spain, but the artisans developed their own original features based on each of their regions. The style that emerged, was a unique mix of Spanish and indigenous elements, which flourished until the end of the 18th Century.

Wooden troughs - Originally used for feeding animals and drying corn, these wooden troughs are more than 100 years old. They have been hand-carved from a single piece of wood. In the 1920's they were inlayed with scenes depicting farm life in the Central Andes.

This intrtricately fashioned antique tea set is handmade of real silver and inlaid with stunning turquoise. Includes tea pot and two silver and turquoise cups. Truly a one-of-a-kind find.
